 Fall Semester (Sept–Nov)

September – Blake’s Orchard & Cider Mill (Armada, MI)

• Apple picking, cider tasting, and learning about agriculture & seasonal harvest traditions.

October – Detroit Riverwalk & Outdoor Reflection Walk

• Students explore the Riverwalk’s ecology + history, followed by a group prayer/meditation circle by the water.

November – Matthaei Botanical Gardens (Ann Arbor)

• Guided plant tour, herbal/medicinal uses, nature journaling for wellness.

 Winter Semester (Dec–Feb)

December – Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA)

• Explore world cultures, Christian religious art, and storytelling through visual creativity.

January – Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History

• Learn about faith, resilience, and history with a focus on community identity.

February – Motown Museum (Hitsville, USA)

• Connect music, creativity, and legacy; faith discussion on using gifts to impact the world.

Spring Semester (Mar–May)

March – Belle Isle Conservatory & Aquarium

• Tropical plant + aquatic ecosystems, reflection on creation care and beauty.

April – Detroit Zoo: Sustainability & Animal Wellness Tour

• Conservation, wellness of animals, and eco-friendly practices.

May – Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge (Trenton)

• Guided hike, bird watching, journaling; connect faith to stewardship of nature.

Summer Semester (Jun–Aug)

June – Kensington Metropark Nature & Adventure Day

• Kayaking, hiking, group picnic; nature + wellness integration.

July – Eastern Market Food & Culture Tour

• Explore healthy foods, local produce, cooking workshop with discussion on body & spirit wellness.

August – Community Urban Farm Volunteering (Keep Growing Detroit)

• Hands-on service project; students plant, harvest, and reflect on serving others through food security.
